Rifle Paper Co. Calling Cards & Stationery

Love these custom calling cards by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co… Anna’s portraits are so adorable. Flat correspondence cards are also available in this style for ordering. This would make such a cute gift!

(A Cup of Jo also has a giveaway going on right now for a set of 50 of calling and correspondence cards.)

Sanjay Patel’s Ramayana: Divine Loophole

When I was little, I heard the story of Ramayana sooo many times. When I got an email from illustrator Sanjay Patel about his new book, Ramayana: Divine Loophole, I was floored with his new work. I love this modern retelling of the story. The book contains over 100 brilliant illustrations along with a detailed illustrated list of the cast of characters and sketches of his work in progress. Absolutely gorgeous.

And for you all on the left coast, Sanjay will also be at Super7 in San Francisco tomorrow, February 27 starting at 6pm signing copies of his book.

Above: Sita is enamored with the golden deer. (Unbeknownst to her, it's actually a demon in disguise.) Below: Sketches of Sanjay's work in progress.

Fifi Lapin!

Love the new tees by Fifi Lapin. I happened to be at Queens Center last weekend, saw Fifi in the window at PacSun and picked up the Blue Pearls tee. (And, wow, did I feel ancient walking in there!) Super soft and super cute.

Bella Moda tee and Blue Pearls tee at Pacific Sun, both $22.50.

Typewriter Tin Art Prints

I have previously written about Janine Vangool‘s typewriter tin collection (here) and yesterday she posted to the Uppercase blog that Leanda of One Little Bird has been creating these wonderful digital illustrations based on her collection. You can buy the prints here.

Still obsessing over Janine’s collection…

Brooklyn Circus Lookbook

Loving the new lookbook from Brooklyn Circus featuring a lot of hand lettering by the crazy talented Jon Contino. Gorgeous photos and illustration throughout. Typography is so beautiful… and that quote is one to live by as a designer. (via FWMJ)

Top: Spread for the Brooklyn Circus Lookbook. Bottom: hand drawn lettering by Jon Contino as seen in the look book.
