Vyshali & Amar

I had the pleasure of designing wedding invitation suites for two sets of friends who tied the knot last weekend. The first set were for Vyshali & Amar who had a traditional Hindu wedding.

These were letterpress printed by Studio on Fire on Cranes Lettra Pearl White in a 220# cover weight. The mini hot pink envelopes were rubber stamped with white embossing ink and held the directions and accommodations.

The bride loves gerbera daisies but wanted to keep the feel of these traditional yet modern. We came up with this motif from searching through books of traditional Indian textile patterns and felt that this was what we were looking for and, in a funny way, looked like the daisies she loves so much.

Edit 01.13.2015: You can see more images of this custom wedding suite at Niru & Baku where you can also find information on commissioning your own custom suite.

Detail shots from Vyshali & Amar's wedding invitation suite. All letterpress printing by Studio on Fire.

Simply gorgeous. I love everything about the set: the colours and illustration, would love to touch the white embossed text, it’s so pretty on hot pink.

I love these invitations. I am in the process of planning my own wedding (hindu ceremony) and have been searching everywhere for modern yet traditional wedding invitations. Is it possible to have these ordered? It seems as though you designed these for a friend.

Excellent job! Please let me know if you’re willing to design our invitations and if not, where I can find a similar style.

    Thanks!
