Marc Jacobs Cuteness

Went out shopping last weekend with the fabulous Leora and we stalked every Marc Jacobs store on Manhattan in search of sunglasses, rain boots and other such cuteness. I ended up grabbing the tote on the left… sturdy cotton canvas, roomy interior and super duper cheap at $12. Perfect size for shopping or going to the beach or as an extra bag on vacation. I also appreciated the roundabout type on the navy tote… very funny, Mr Jacobs. The similarly cute London tote is only available in the London store. These items are part of his Special Items collection which include a variety of inexpensive accessories such as plastic bangles, charm necklaces, key rings, and purse compacts.

Jacobs by Marc Jacobs tote, $12. London Shopping Bag, 7GBP. Available only in Marc Jacobs stores and Marc Jacobs London.

Patrick Robinson, Target GO! International

A peek at the next GO! International line by Patrick Robinson is up now in the Press Room at Target.com. I really like this collection… it’s full of lots of great casual looks for summer. That brown swimsuit is great as are the dresses and that cute crochet tunic. The collection hits stores this May. Next up for Target? According to Radar, it’s Libertine. (via Fashionista.)

Chloé Fall 2007

Very minimal over at the Chloé show in Paris. Very simple silhouettes with a dark color palette plus some great oranges. Loved what designer Paulo Melim Andersson had to say about this new Chloé girl: “She’s angry, but funny-angry. A girl who steals from her mother. I want this to be young-young, with no tricks. Clean, but not minimal.”

Aesthetic Apparatus

I was looking through Aesthetic Apparatus‘ work today looking for the new stuff and found a motherlode. Lots of great new-ish stuff in the gallery for sale now. Their color sense is so on point, it’s ridiculous. These silk-screened prints are at a great price point and look amazing in the home. (Also receive a free Yo La Tengo print with every purchase over $30. Request it in the comments section at checkout.) See my previous post here.

Aye to Zee

Although I am totally feeling the Jessica Kagan Cushman bangles I posted a few weeks ago, these Anthropologie A-to-Z Bangles are a worthy alternative. While Cushman’s are fossilized mammoth tusk, Anthro’s are paper wrapped wood. Plus, they’re on sale now for $19.99 each down from $38. Snatch ’em up while you can get ’em. (via FabSugar)

African Queen

One of my absolute favorite models, Liya Kebede had a fashion spread in Sunday’s T:Style Magazine in the New York Times featuring clothes inspired by traditional African dress. Just caught the photos now and absolutely loved them. Shot by Paolo Riversi, these have such gorgeous color and styling… of course she looks absolutely stunning. (And I wish I could find more of Riversi’s work online past the cursory Google search!) Anyway, see the whole slide show here.
