Rachel Roy Pre-Fall 2007

I know, I know, I should just start an entire new category devoted just to Rachel Roy. I shall resist. I shall, however, share with you the pre-fall 2007 collection that is now available for view on her site. (Along with Pre-Spring 2008… my, my Ms. Roy you’ve been a busy girl.)

I can’t deal with looking at next spring’s clothes right now but I am feeling kind of sheepish to admit I am already thinking about the fall. I am newly obsessed with dresses and the dresses shown for Rachel Roy’s Pre-Fall are kind of perfect. My favorite from the selects above is the Karolina Trench. A girl can dream…

Two Paperdolls

Gorgeous work at Two Paperdolls. I particularly love how they show lots of elements from the weddings such as calligraphed place cards and designed drink coasters.

Ginette NY

I love the delicate intertwined pendants from jeweler Ginette NY. I keep meaning to visit the boutique downtown but haven’t made it quite yet. For now, I admire the work on ShopBop. These pendants say “Joy” and “You” in 14-carat gold. A co-worker has a personalized monogram of her initials and it is so gorgeous… The personalized pendants are smaller than the ones above but still as delicate. Such a perfect gift.

"Joy" pendant, $720. "You" pendant, $792. Both pendants on a 16" chain in 14-carat gold.

Tim Walker

My boss showed me the Fotographie issue for fashion photographer Tim Walker and I immediately fell in love with his work. Glam, decay, fantasy, impressive lighting… it’s all there. See more of his work here.

The Weddings Issue

Namrita & Roman‘s wedding in California mixed the traditions of both of their heritages for a Mexican-Indian celebration that was truly stunning. This installment in Nirali Magazine, we bring you inside four real and stunning South Asian weddings plus, we’ve compiled guides on South Asian beauty and wedding photography and so much more.

We met so many brides with outstanding advice for throwing a big fat desi wedding in North America while putting together this issue that we compiled the best in a handy article. (Be sure to check out even more advice from South Asian brides in the next installment on June 18th as well as three more beautiful weddings, a guide for wedding shopping in South Asia and a guide to buying wedding jewelry!)

I thought many of you might like to see this issue… There are slideshows for many of the articles featuring a lot of wonderful wedding photographers. The amount of vendors featured is quite wide. You can find references for anyone from elephant rentals to wedding documentary filmmakers to mehndi artists to luxury event coordinators. See all ten articles in this installment of Nirali Magazine’s Wedding Issue on NiraliMagazine.com. Enjoy!

Bridesmaids bouquets were built on crosses. Arrangements incorporated fresh fruit. (Photography by Elizabeth Messina)
